Description
I can't even remember when I started this. It was a long time ago, at least three years. Originally I wanted to include it with the Best of SenshiStock book but I never developed it as much as I wanted to for the book. Instead of keeping it unfinished forever on my harddrive where no one would see it, I finally just decided to upload it here. It's really incomplete but I hope the basic stuff I talk about will be helpful. The initial pose used is
Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards can be found at DrawRight.com . (It's a great book, really amazing.)
I really hope that some of you get a lot of use from this!
You can use other techniques in combination with this one (like using balls and boxes for different parts of the body). Use all the tools available to you to make the best art you can make!

You know how some people say drawing is like riding a bike? Me neither, but I'd been in a bad mh state for a while and I hadn't drawn anything in a long time to the point that I'd forgotten how I managed to get my specific style (not that great a one, but sure).

Anywhats you helped me get back into my process! I pretty much forgot how to do most basic things but you helped bring it back! So thank you!
Once I get a scanner or a decent camera I'll let you see! I'm keeping note of the stock.
So...uh...end of gushing I guessΒ Β

That's great! You know, I've been there. Sometimes you get so wrapped up in what you think you should be doing you forget kind of the core of what you need to be doing. Best of luck getting back in the swing of things!

Thank you so much for this! I have such issues with drawing humans that I avoid it at all possible chances.. and your tutorial just explain it so well, that even I could understand it with little to no troubles. Thank you for helping people with mental disabilities understand some basics of the human form art <3

Thank you so much for taking the time to make all these lovely stocks which are a HUMUNGOUS, GINOURMOUS, ANYTHING LARGE help and thank you so much for taking the time to teach us how to efficiently use these stocks! You are without a doubt my favorite stock maker! I shall call you the ultimate stocker! And of course... I mean all of this! I am being very very very very very honest (I'm a teen so being extremely hyper when finding something I've always wanted is normal)

I like it! i'm sure this will help me!
but, i'm not sure if drawing skills come naturally to me, or i have to work very hard for them. sometimes it's a challenge, but not all the time. if you look at my drawings now, i'm not the best. i find hands and fingers the hardest, and sometimes faces. but i'm still practicing!

This is probably the most helpful tutorial ever I always had trouble with poses and I knew that drawing came from seeing and knowing what's right and what's wrong, but I could never actually reach that skill. But this was really helped me. Thank you for much for this

The class was helpful, sure, but this guide effortlessly condensed the most important information regarding anatomy and gesture drawing. Thank you so much for this!

This was very helpful!
Just one question,
how would I make a base for poses like this one right here->[link]
or just perspective pictures in general.
Thank you for the help AND your poses!
