Fanart of Gaara (Naruto), just because.. I felt like doing it.I *so* adore him, that I had to draw him, at least once!
Anyway, critique discoragued - I know all the anatomic mistakes here, there are plenty of 'em, but I want this drawing to stay on that "spiritual" level of when I worked on it.. Drawing it for the pleasure of drawing Gaara, not drawing it to show off or just simple practise. So let it be, with all the mistakes~ ^^

Never mind the mistakes, I donΒ΄t see any - and if any, I could interpret as part of the style =3 Is sooo nice!

Hehe, as for the face expression I tried to make it well, somehow expressive, even for Gaara (he's kinda the "I-hide-my-feelings" type of person) but still fitting in the character... Complicated, I know!

I'm really really glad you like him (and how could you not love him? X3)! As for the coloring; unfortunately I drew him for the porpouse of using just the b/w technique, so I find it quite hard to color, since it's well... There's a lot of black!
But I will sure draw another one, better one, and color it.. don know when, but it's gonna happen! X3

Non conosco quasi per niente Naruto (sto disperatamente provando a seguirlo su Italia 1, ma una settimana in Portogallo mi ha fatto perdere i primi sei episodi, ieppi!) ma ne so abbastanza da poter riconoscere i personaggi e Gaara c'Γ¨. Anch'io sto seguendo un po' l'edizione italiana, ma piu' che altro leggo il manga.. Poi la' Gaara e' molto ma molto piu' figo! >_<
E sinceramente anche a me all'inizio piaceva piu' Sasuke (non che non mi piaccia ora!), ma per Gaara nutro una specie di... rispetto. Adorazione. Quindi un disegno glielo dovevo! XD

I personally dont see alot of mistakes, but then again, I'm not a tip top artist. I just recently started watching the original japanese with subtitles and I adore it. Gaara... His character is interesting. at first I thought he was just a creep with a really good voie and no eyebrows, but as I saw his past unfold, and it showed him as a child, begging to know what he was, I felt like crying, taking him in my arms and telling him that he was human.
fell in love with him XD So of course as soon as I saw this, I had to come see and comment. I think it looks good personally! I like how you did it all in black and white, but the kanji on his head is still in red. Adds more to the picture!

And I have to say, I agree with what you said about Gaara. And I actually loughed out loud when I read "and no eyebrows", maybe because I also tought that when I frist saw him.
Now, I don't know how far the anime goes for now - and here I have to say that I loved Gaara even before -, but in the 29-31 volumes of the manga I just started loving Gaara, despide all he did in the past and blah blah. *adoration*
I'm also glad you like the red-touch on the kanji, I hoped somebody would actually notice it!
