Description
A continuation of the scene in the previous strip.I figure part of the reason Quinn and Dakrah (my warrior) hit it off is that they're both gray-sided individuals who want what's best for the Empire and its people.Β So, my head canon, let me show you it.
This hangover is going to scare Jaesa back to the Jedi Code.

Not the sith we deserve, but the sith we need right now.
Empire loyal.
Peace through tyranny.
Stability through submission. (but not chaotic stupid random murder).Β

Just discovered your old comic by reading SWTOR forums. Brings back some memories of my LS Warrior while playing through the original storyline. ^^

If anything, Jaesa won't ever go back to the Jedi. Might end up in the same rehab centre as Noman Karr.

ROFL I love the expressions on these. Especially the ones so far with Jaesa and Vette. I think I'm addicted to these now. You have the same thoughts that I do when playing the game, especially with the ESC button!Β

It's a shame that the one other Sith who had ideas like that was Darth Malgus

He went about it the wrong way, though. Gotta be more subtle, grow in power and influence until your ideas are more widespread, instead of starting more infighting and getting yourself killed.

Well, he wanted the change NOW, sadly it's not like in Dragon Age: Origins where you could support the harsh reformist Behlen or the isolationary traditionalist Harrowmont.
Altough it would be awesome if you COULD side with Malgus

Something like siding with Jadus in the IA storyline? You might end up with a completely different story going through the expansions if you sided with Malgus, though.
There is a dialog option to tell him you think he has some good points, but no one I've done the flashpoint with seems to choose it.

Sometimes they do, but some players who get into characters prefers the other "Sithy" options.

They failed to keep people in line.Β Trying to have a large number of Sith who see each other as equals probably won't work, but I'd like to think you can have a solid pyramid power structure without infighting.Β Give people a clear and reasonable means to advance that doesn't involve tearing up their own organization, the same as the military does.Β Which is basically how my RP guild works in SWTOR.

ah, that sounds more reasonable.

I was somewhat annoyed how Bioware kept ignoring how some players would want to be neutral.  Never got to use relics because they all had a freakin' alignment.  They have all these decisions that allow for being grey-sided, hell, I was able to get a unique ending for chapter 1 with Jasea.  (as seen here:  www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJWHpi⦠ )
But then, Jesea suddenly forgets all that and acts like I'm trying to reform the Empire? Β The hell? Β Did I have a life altering conversation with her off-screen? Β It's so odd that Bioware would acknowledge my decisions, then promptly forget about them and shoehorn me into the "light-path" story. Β Did they run out of time to produce a unique grey-side story? Β

Thanks for the link--I think in order to get that dialog, you have to choose the DS option with either her parents or Master Yonlach and the LS option with the other, whereas I tried to win her over by sparing both.Β It's great to see that this dialog was actually written.Β I guess they assumed that too few people would stay close enough to the zero-mark on Force alignment to see this dialog for it to be worth writing and recording any more dialog exclusive to that case.
But yes, after this, LS Jaesa seems to have only the dialog meant for an LS warrior, and talks about befriending Sith who secretly oppose the Empire.Β But I don't want to oppose the Empire . . .

This is hilarious! I like your head cannon and the drunk ex-jedi is priceless. Hm, Dakrah could earn some Dark side points by going to Jaesa in the morning and shouting: "HEY DO YOU HAVE A HANGOVER!" Several times.

I still can't tell what sort of Jaesa you have, but mostly because all I've seen her do is get drunk, and dragged back to the ship.
She needs dialogue.

LOL, That look is priceless, and Vette should have choosen a better drinking partner then Jaesa, but at least she did not kill anyone this time....I think.
P.S. My SW has the same opinion as yours, the only good Sith leaders are Darth Marr and the Emperor(Though Malgus too, but he did not need to do what he did)
π: 0 β©: 1
Aemixx In reply to GwDuncan [2013-12-06 07:36:29 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I remember Dark Side Jaesa telling a story about how she got drunk and either slept with or killed some random solider, she can't remember which. Β But I'm thinking this is Light Side Jaesa, who I see as more shy and in need of someone like Vette to show her how to have a good time.
Well, the Emperor is certainly good at what he does (when someone's not killing or imprisoning his host body), but then I found out that his goal is not so much to rule the galaxy as it is to consume the whole thing and become like a god, so I wouldn't say that leadership is ultimately what he's about O.O
I sympathized with Malgus, too, but then he said something that sounded like "So I'm going to stop the infighting WITH MORE INFIGHTING" *facepalm*

GwDuncan In reply to Aemixx [2013-12-06 16:45:09 +0000 UTC]
Well Malgus could have been a great emperor, but I am loyal to the people that survived the Korriban purge. If he attacked it would likely be the end for over half the empires people, and that is not what I want, I want the Empires people revenge fulfilled before New leadership.
If Malgus did wait til we might have won against the Republic and then turned to against the Dark council(he said he was against them and not the emperor, he thought the emperor was dead), I would have joined him without a second thought. The point is, he did at the wrong time and should have gotten his ideals out to the people first, so that it would be a unified people of the empire that want to create a better Empire.
And Yes, The emperors plan is very egotistical, but I do not think it will succeed, and he is still a better leader then most Sith
