Description Janis again, just colored and edited some (so that her outfit's right now). >: She's gaudier than I imagined her to be.

Speed coloring, whee.

Here's the long explanation.

COPYPASTA --
I've basically had AK as my personal mug since I've joined the FE community. However, her canonical self and the way I portray her as a character on forums are completely different. That, as well as the fact that I've a million and one Aeoryses, led to a bit of confusion and personality bleeding. Forum AK = violent killer-type; canon AK = unsociable grump.

I'm kind of a picky person, as you may or may not know, and I really don't like it when facts get all jumbled together. It isn't that I didn't like the "Bwahahahaha, watch out or I'll stab you" routine; it's just that it was completely OOC, and I wasn't readily willing to change the image I already had of her (though I kind of ended up doing it anyway for FESW, but that's another story). So the easiest solution was to create a double.

As it was, AK's original design was more thief/assassin-like (as was the plan), transitioning to the swordmaster-esque fashion you see now after playing the concept a little more. However, stingy as I am, I still kept the original shaman/assassin design for a rainy day.

AK's mug was an Isadora/Karla splice for the longest time, but the original was an Ursula/GenericVillagerGirl/Legault splice. "She looks like a Janice," was exactly what I said after staring at the old mug after awhile, and I kind of just toyed with the name while I stored her away again.

Now, jumping ahead a lot more. I like to revisit the depths of my PB now and then (and I kind of feel stupid now for deleting, like, 50 pages of it), and decided I'd go back and revamp a lot of my old splice contest mugs and OCs. This was partially because a few of my friends needed some extra characters to use in their hacks, but the mugs weren't quite up to par in terms of quality and design. I'm the kind of cleaner who can't just clean one thing and be done with it, though. I fix one thing, then I fix another, and another, and so on. So yeah. In the middle of my PB somewhere was that old AK/Janice mug (a remake; I don't have the original old version anymore), and I figured I might as well turn her into a character of her own.

So I went into PdN and spliced her a new face and thought about how things would work out now that I had two characters who looked the same but totally weren't otherwise. Siblings? Not likely. AK already had a younger brother, and he plays something of a part in her story. Relatives? Possible, but that didn't appeal to me much. Coincidence? Hey, why not? Using the forum personality, I thought it'd be hilarious if there really was an "AK" who was like that, as well as being shameless enough to wear all the weird cosplay outfits I make for her. It was a perfect solution. No more embarrassing the canon AK, and I got a fun new character to work with.

So where does the Imposter part come in, you ask? Well, since they looked alike, why not have one dress as the other (or similarly, anyway). Canonically, AK is a fairly well-known mercenary/assassin. Janis, on the other hand, is the leader of a small band of thieves/bandits (and they act as comic relief in an otherwise mostly serious story). To be blunt, she's the brains of the operation, and Janis comes up with the brilliant plan of impersonating AK (even though she's never seen/met her; they're just going off rumors) to help their robbing business along (I was actually thinking a Robin Hood-esque thing, but it's kind of iffy at this point). As "AK," she and her henchmen simply need to scare their victims into dropping their loot and make off with it without anyone really getting hurt.

There's more to it, but that gets a little too far into the story. So yeah, she's the Imposter. She's like AK's flashy opposite.
