WOW! this is gorgeous O_O I think it might actually be my favorite work of yours thus far.
it's an interesting title, I'm not really sure what to make of it my self. what I'm reading into is the underwater world (=imaginary, free, infinite, etc) vs. desert world (=reality, empty, desolate, etc). the yellow blob and the speckles in the blue world also makes it seem celestial... idk what you meant it to be, but I like it ^_^;
how do you feel about it? If not about the "meaning", then about your inclusion of a more detailed figure? *wink*

the more realistic figure...? i'm not really sure why she's more realistic. i've been avoiding it lately but didn't feel the need to in this one... the meaning is inspired loosely by the evanescence song of the same title. it is about escape from reality. drowning in something not real... it's a great song. i want to do some other images from it, too.
i'm really letting music inspire my work lately. music is incredibly imjportant to me and i'm incredibly passionate about it, so it's only natural that my best art is pulled from the fire of melody and rhythm. i feel like i'm part of the music when i do this....as though it is communicating through me.
