Description Not originals, mods to some ColdSteel poleaxes. Shortened the shafts to 36" & added tapered buttcaps to adjust the balance. Made them up for my son's university Bonfire. They bite really well, even into gnarly old post oak.

Believe it or not, I have a Cold Steel poleaxe, and was planning to do pretty much exactly the same thing. Haven't actually gotten around to it yet. But I think it will be much more fun and useful at battle-axe length than poleaxe sized.

I added pipe to the hilt to counterbalance the head weight. Makes them into great wood-cutters.
