My elvish character Leuthil Spellsinger, strutting her stuff (you can see her model sheet in my scraps gallery).This actually runs a lot slower than the .avi file does...so it doesn't look right...hmm....
Anywho, a basic, basic run cycle for my animation class. The quality isn't that great because of the file I was working from.
In a perfect world, this would be inked and colored in the future....
It has quite a few problems, just ignore them. I know where they are. You don't need to tell me.

GIF files have a very low ceiling when it comes to maximum speeds. you may want to consider submitting the avi, or compressing in flash.

I went into your gallery last week to track down that animation! I like it a lot! I think it looks awesome. It has good weight and smooth movement.
Next week, we're going to start a four-legged run cycle. And I was planning on doing a running panther, but after seeing your wonderful job, I think I'll pick something else...

Yes! It takes so much planning, and if you want it to have weight, you have to plan that, too! It's craaazy!

Awesome, animation is certainly your thing. I myself wouldn't have the patience. It must feel so neat to actually bring a character to 'life' through animating it

That's why I love animating. I can't think of a better job than creating a living, thinking character.

Wow, that is really well planned. Like the bun (hair) and the flap on the coat bouncing up and down. You must have paid close attention to someone running to do this.

It takes a lot of planning before you can actually start animating. I sit down with a sheet of paper and plan the arcs her limbs are going to follow before I do anything else.
Lol, you like the flap (we affectionately called it her "butt flap" )

Well, you deserve some awsome praise for that, I can't even do a stickman, so I can't imagine how much time and effort it takes to make it look that life like. Its definately a gift!
