Description
It was nice to get back to some personal projects for the first time in the new place, so I thought it nice to start off with a retro pic with a bit of background work to boot. The Kickline girls are doing their best to have some fun gabbing it up... even if things around them aren't in perfect order.
The This Island Earth mutant and the various cameos belong to their respective owners. Kickline, its characters, and the artwork belong to me.

Amazing attention to detail here, from the retro outfits (you have those down to a science now) and the plethora of background antics to the very eye-catching "X" frame, I can tell you went all out on this one, Rich - two thumbs up.

Well this is a real treat. So much going on in every corner!
First or all, it's great to see the interaction between all of the character and each of the little stories going on in each panel.
The variety of angles also allows for each girl to take centre stage but also the supporting cast to shine in their own way.
You also did a great job in furnishing all of the rooms, right down to the different types of phones! Everything is so jovial and dysfunctional, I think it all makes for a really successful piece. Nice job!

Well this is a party line if ever I saw one. What a creative way to show a four-way phone call with them - and of course the retro theme is the perfect way to do it, too!

i really love this set up!! :^> i love how each panel has so much happening, you can really feel the friendly atmosphere in each! I especially love all the poses and backgrounds, nothing dull to look at, everything is colourful and full of life!! (im the big ol bug alien breaking into veronica's house) all in all, really awesome work Rich, well done!!

The comic does take place in that vague cartoon present that doesn't try to pin itself down. I just happen to enjoy kitcschy 50s and 60s aesthetics a lot, and I get inspired to draw them like this here and there.
