With 2018 winding down, I'll be ending these reference sheets with one sheet that I had nearly forgotten that I started a while back. Thankfully this was done during the year it was started! So let's end this year's reference sheets with the guy who went from J-Les' punching bag to a semi-regular boyfriend to Chelsea (I guess he likes redheads!)...Kickline's Charlie!
Name: Charlie Albert Blackwell
Age: Mid-20s
Face: Round face, beady eyes, bulbous nose, often confused expression.
Hair: Shaggy brown hair with a chin patch for facial hair.
Body Type: A large, stocky body.
Personality: Rather breezy, but usually knows his limits.
Relationship Status: Maintaining a steady relationship with Chelsea Robinson.
Charlie, Kickline and its characters belong to me. So does the artwork.

Charlie's looking wonderfully cheerful as always, I always liked how you gave him button eyes to make him stand out from the rest of the cast, and that's not to mention the massive character development he's had over the years.

I am happy that he could develop from the one-dimensional character that he was initially.

I rather enjoy how this character has evolved over the years. From being nothing more than J-Les' dimwitted sidekick, to a more prominent character with a little more integrity than illustrated in previous years, yet still maintaining charm and comedy relief. Also nice to see that he's such a gentleman with Chelsea and maintaining a successful relationship. Something Pinky could learn a thing or two, but hopefully not for our amusement.

I guess most goofy comic strips need a more level-headed observer of all the chaos, and Charlie fits that bill with that befuddled expression. Thanks a lot for the comment and support here.
