If I'm going to introduce a character, I might as well make it interesting.The upper panels contain Mallory's step-father and ex-partner, Professor Philemon Blume. He's sort of a cross between Indiana Jones and Professor Layton. Mallory has never met her real father (A friend of Prof. Blume, now deceased.), making the two close.
Also, hopefully Solomon has learned that dramatic entrances don't always work on impressionable women.
Edit: Dammit, I misspelled 'Little' at the end.
