Description
Hortobágy (part of the Great Hungarian Plains). I always wanted to visit this part of my country, but never before got a chance. I was so glad to finally go there, and boy, was it worth it! I've never understood the Hungarian poet Petőfi who sang odes to the Great Plains, I always thought they must be boring. But when I was there at Hortobágy, I sort of understood him. There is definitely something majestic about the plains - flat, flat, flat until the eye can reach.
Those little grey flecks in the background are typical Hungarian grey cows/bulls (dunno their gender, I didn't look, LOL), if you click on "download", you can view a bigger version to see the animals a little better.
