just one of my exercises with oils, it's quite simple but it took me a lot of time, but making this one I could understand better this techinique.. yes, I know, it isn't a great work, but need to make practice!

It must be hells difficult for you to use oils coming from water colour, I'm the other way round. Oils are not the easiest and sure is the messiest! The huge difference is with oils you put on a lot of paint but not for water colour. With oils I am use to putting on a whole heap of paint. In this it looks like you are having a hard time changing the water colour technique from what you are use to. You would feel very restricted. However for you using a different media makes your talent stand out, it is amazing! Beautiful work.

All of your drawings look very similar to each other, but this one is slightly different because of the oils. I like that it seems to stand out more now than when you use watercolor.

Honestly I can't find anything wrong with it. Seeing as you don't work with oils often, I'd say you were very successful. The eyes always draw me into your paintings and this one is no different. I feel as if she is looking right at me. And once again, I am loving your use of unnatural colors for the skin.
I subscribe to your speed paints on youtube and I must say, I'd be interested in one using oils. The whole oil paint looks is appealing to me. If only I could use them. I find them a bit hard to work with, but I love seeing others use them.
