Nice poster! But I don't know what expect about this movie. I think they just can't make a 'First Class" movie without Cyclops and Jean Grey.

He isn't, Tom Rothman is. And it is because of Rothman and Fox in general which will be why this movie could very well be the train wreck of 2011's summer season...

You're missing the big picture here, Kick-Ass was good because Vaughn called the shots, here he answers to Tom Rothman, who has nothing but contempt for the X-men franchise, in fact when the first movie was released he was hoping it would flop hard so he'd be done with it, eh even tried to sabotage production with a multitude of problems, in the end it became a box office hit and was a fluke altogether, Singer was given more creative freedom with part 2 and thus made a better film but Rothman couldn't handle that...I could say more, but here are two very important articles on Rothman, one of which is written by Aintitcoolnews scribe Moriarty-

The next one isn't really an article, more of an information exchange-

And before you bring up such movies like Avatar and the recent Predators film, neither are the average run of the mil Fox productions. James Cameron got all control over Avatar because he's James Cameron, he gave them the biggest win they ever made, interfere and he'll take his movie somewhere else. Predators is a Fox owned franchise, the rights won't revert anywhere else, since they ran it into the ground already they gave the creative freedom to Robert Rodriguez who has produced financially successful films made for peanuts, he makes his movies so fast he can release two movies in the same season take for instance Spy Kids 3 and Onc Upon A Time In Mexico. They also gave him a deal to distribute Machete as he was having a difficult time with The Weinstein bros.

Movies like X-men: First Class, Caser: Planet of the Apes, will remain micromanaged disasters, don't you doubt it.

Making this movie is a waste of time and talent, Vaughn should be directing The Avengers instead.

But there's a difference between spending time making a good movie and a micromanaged disaster. This movie is NOT looking good from a production standpoint, the amount of time they have to make it is ridiculous for a movie of this scope and size, no X-men movie should have a ten month filming schedule, that is anything but logical. Seeing as we're both comic book nuts are you familiar with the fact that Marvel themselves are NOT happy with how Fox is treating their characters? They want the rights back pronto, which is why Fox is basically rebooting the franchise with this movie and even still, are developing a direct sequel to Wolverine. They do NOT care about the characters or the storyline, they only care about keeping the rights because it is their most financially successful franchise( Again, read the aintitcool article by Moriarty) with a movie like this they can demand a 2 BILLION dollar request from Marvel/Disney, which is insane.

Of course, I will love Fox lose the rights of all comic characters !!!! and they came back to MARVEL but remember that no problems with DC and WARNER BROSS. they know how to make EPIC movies!!! But not FOX.
