Te picture is good, but the fifth is not. When you try to make a photo of a fifth position, you should look it from the side, in this case, of the right leg of the ballerina, better if in croisΓ©. To make the feet look better, the dancer should put her waight all forward, if it's not, she will look like a beginner, even if she's one of the best in the world.

I agree. I feel the main problem with this picture is the dancer's 5th position. Her back leg is extremely turned in, and her calves seem to be, as some people say, "squished." She sould turn out both feet as much as possible.

this may be off topic but i am getting sick of this: ballerinas are NOT athletes, i hate when bunch of idiots run around saying: "ballerinas are stronger then arnold schwarzenegger!" people not only ballerinas are offenced, but athletes, as future pro fighter i feel offenced when people compare me to those skinny dancers, on the other my best friend ( who wants to be a pro ballerina) was also offenced, does not train 8 hours a day to be a muscular sportsman! just had to say it. P.S. i am one of the biggest ballet fans, believe me!

That's what separates the professional ballet dancers from the amateurs; they make it look easy. Professional dancers, however, do train for hours every day (I believe on the days of performances dancers spend about 10 or so hours on preparation). There's much more to strength than just physical bulk.
