This makes her bones much more difficult to break, but when they do break they will shatter, tripling the time it takes for a bone injury to heal. This also makes it much harder to set her broken bones. Hollow bones have less bone marrow meaning they produce less red blood cells. To compensate, her red blood cells have their own independent nuclei. These red blood cells are capable of duplicating on their own through mitosis. So long as Iais is hydrated it is very difficult for her to bleed out. However, like most birds, high blood pressure makes any wound bleed like a geyser until it is patched up. Like most harpy eagles, her strength and precision made her an excellent assassin. Because of her wingspan it is very hard for her to fight in small spaces.Powers | Emotional Manipulation through Song | Healing |Like all harpies of her clan, Iais's singing can alter the emotions of those who hear it. Due to the danger of being over-heard she does not sing now. The Song affects emotion, not logic, so victims can be aware they are being influence and fight the affects, however the emotion will persist for at least an hour after the song has ended. It has no affect on sirens or other harpies. Given enough time and food she can heal from most mortal wounds. If you want her dead, always behead! Or stab her through the heart. That works, too. She cannot re-grow limbs, just to clarify. She's not that good.

  Iais seems stoic from pretty much every angle. The fuse of her patience may be as long as the Great Tree is tall, but she is a vicious killer and harbors no regrets for her past actions. Iais prizes results over methods and has lowered herself to underhanded tactics on multiple occasions to complete missions. She shines as a strategist and has a good eye for the talents of others. She actively chooses to be harsh to both herself and those around her because she truly believes a soft nature will only lead to sorrow. Both stubborn and prideful, Iais will only back down from a fight if the continued conflict endangers innocent bystanders. She will never ask for help and will not admit to injuries unless they are sever enough to require a medic's attention. The infallible calm persona she works very hard to maintain makes her very easy to approach with problems. Admittedly. she has a bad habit of solving problem herself rather than teaching others how to handle them. Iais is loyal to a fault, and she struggles now that she has no one to serve. Iais does not have a very expressive face, unless she is extremely emotional, and this can make it easy to misinterpret her mood. The best way to assess her mood is just to ask, as she considers lying to anyone besides an enemy a pointless expenditure of energy. Iais has a ritual of un-braiding, brushing, and re-braiding her hair every morning before sunrise as a way to collect herself for the day to come.She has no concept of 'Friendship' and doesn't really understand the notion of being valued for anything outside of her skill set. This can make her more pushy in her attempts to be useful than strictly needed or wanted. History
  Iais was born to two very proud and fierce warriors. Though both of her parents were deeply loyal to the Kiplie Clan their independence often made it difficult for them to function within the Clan. They were remarkable at completing any mission they were assigned, but they hunted for themselves, they made their own home away from the Great Tree, and they taught their children privately. There was no coddling to be found under the wings of her parents or her older brother, who had already taken up the family "Fight or Die" mentality. Iais realized very quickly she was the only member of her small flock balanced enough to deal with the Clan in calm conversation. Whether by need or nature Iais became a very good middle man between her vicious but gifted parents and the laws that governed the Kiplie Clan. Iais did acquire most of her family's pride, harsh honesty, and ruthless efficiency, there is no denying that. However, she has a great distaste for rashness.
  Her father lost his life during a mission when Iais was in her twenties. After her father's passing Iais's mother calmed down a lot, losing pleasure in most everything; she lost even her bloodlust. For the first time, Iais found that she could talk to her mother about more than battle strategies. Her mother eventually found happiness again in the arms of a magpie harpy who worked at making beaded jewelry and other beautiful knickknacks. Iais loved the magpie for the joy he brought her mother, but sweet times are short. A warrior's life is not a safe one and Iais's mother died in battle only a few years later. Her brother, Iral, was lost to the clan after that. Without his father or mother there was no one he could give his loyalty to. He had never felt loyal to the Clan, only his family, and he could never take orders from his baby sister. He beseeched Iais to come with him, to fight by his side, but she rejected such a rouge lifestyle. He left in the night without a word to anyone else and she let him go. Without a half-feral brother to contain, Iais's need to monitor and control situations started to seep over into the whole Clan. Iais was a busy body and drowned herself in work; in missions. She found easy purpose in protecting the clan, but in the end she failed even that. Politics and betrayal rotted her clan from the inside out. By the time she received her estate letter she was alone in the world. Her clan is no more and her past is in rubble. Her only hope is to move forward and learn what she must to survive. Perhaps this new world will not run with so much blood.
