The Aperture Science Mythical Reptile Testing Initiative-- a long-forgotten project meant to test how subjects reacted to large robotic constructs of legendary inspiration roaming their testing environments. The project was dropped in favor of other more promising subjects-- namely combustible lemons-- but GLaDOS seems to have resurrected it as a way for her to more directly... 'observe' her experiments. I seem to think she built it in a hurry though, seeing as I used turret parts, old personality cores, and much of her old body to build it...perhaps the labs are in some sort of danger she has to get directly involved with. *Shrugs* Maybe, like most Aperture technologies, it has no real logic behind it.I realized while redesigning her that I'm better at drawing robots than I thought; while I'm still not very good, I feel this is a major improvement over the first one. In that one, I covered a lot of her inner workings up, hiding the fact I couldn't draw them. Both versions are good, and both had about the same amount of thought put into them-- but in the end, this one is my favorite. I hope you like it too!

it's wire. as far as i know, it would just be dragging behind her limply.
yes, her having a tail is fine, it's just that i would have gone with something more... lightweight and controlled... if you know what i mean.

There are cervo motors along the length that let it move a bit (otherwise it wouldn't be able to do that stylish curl in the picture ;3 ), so it's not completely limp, but I see where you're coming from. Thanks for telling me! ^^

to be honest, i am one of the hardest, most-hated, negative, barbaric critics you will ever come across. so go ahead and tell yourself that you did a really good job, because other than the slightly non-realistic tail: you did.

Really, everyone needs some criticism every once and a while; as long as it's actually pointing out problems and not thinly-veiled flaming, it's a good way for artists to see their art in a different light. You had a legit concern about the functionality, and it made me think harder about my design. It was certainly more interesting than a simple "that's cool!" comment-- while those are good, they don't help me much as an artist. So thanks!

would make sense, especially after the second one...since it happened to her TWICE...and once to wheatley in her body...she wouldnt be able to while she was "dead"...(in spite of being "still alive"...why didnt that paradox fry her?) but wait why didnt the facility explode while she was offline...?...er is that why its a mess...but no....it still had walls

I don't think the writers thought about that! Maybe she knew she was alive, but might as well have been dead to the outside world...hmm. As far as it not exploding, it may have shut down safely before, but GLaDOS was in the middle of rebuilding Aperture and had fired everything back up. Wheatley was stupid enough to not maintain a safe nuclear reaction, so it went into meltdown when he ignored the warnings. Ehh, that's the theory I just came up with off the top of my head, it may not be right.
