I actually really like the sloppy looking shading, it actually suits the mood of the picture.
I also like how soft you made the Umbreon's glowing patterns.
I think I've figured out what makes this picture bug you though, both of Umbreon's front paws look a little awkward, I don't know how to explain it but something about the way there positioned don't look quite right.
