"Concrete bridges like this work nicely on paths with hills on either sides."Yeah, I had done something similar to this at home and then at the library one day I got the urge to draw this at this angle. (the other one was a bird's eye view.) I've got the basic foundations down but I'm going to re-do the stairs, I don't like how they turned out. I also have started working on the values but it's still way too light in most parts. In general, I think it's a good start. I just have to keep working on it. This isn't referenced.

Just from the way it looks there, it reminds me of de Chirico's work. There's lots of arches in his work. You should check him out.

yeah I should probably stop being lazy and Google them. thanks! grr, for some reasons these stairs particularly anger me. yeah, it's not that hard once you understand them.
