I fell in love with deadbird when I saw that first picture of him you uploaded O w O
but here's my conveluded theory ^ w ^ :
They all met up one day, despite their differences, and Skye said, "Hey, if we all got adorable matching pets, we would no doubt win over the hearts of young female otakus all over the world and become that much more powerful!"
And of course, because his plan was so brilliant, the other three areed and they all took a stroll over to the nearest pet shop and purchased one adorable animal each.
But Deadbird got ripped off, because the pet salesman sold him, *eherm*.... a dead bird, which made him super sad.
So, the other three guys decided to go out to drinks to try and cheer him up, but it only resulted in Lucien and Vance getting horribly drunk and singing some bad karaoke to lady gaga, which Skye filmed and later used as blackmail. While they were smashed. Lucien convinced Vance to die his hair orange, and when Vance woke up from his terrible hangover the next morning, he took revenge on Lucien by giving him nightmare... a nightmare depicting Skye smiling sweetly like a chipper little school girl. Lucien was so scarred by this nightmare that he quickly took up smoking to ease the shock.
In the end, deadbird's pet was still dead, so he tried to make th best of it by propping the thing up on his shoulder to pretend, starting a trend that aishaneko felt it was best to draw here.
I have a feeling Skye is still pursuing his original plan.... and succeeding, by the looks of things

Let me see... Skye and Deadbird both have crow-like things. Vance and Lucien have cats. Alot of times cats are portrayed to eat birds, so would Lucien and Vance be hierarchy enemies? Aw well thats my guess
