At least he's not trying to dice d100s. Those things look and act like golf balls. d6 are nice and stable. d4 wouldn't be too bad to dice, there's just no meat on them after you remove the peel. d8-d12 have enough flat surface to not have to worry too much about cutting yourself when the die rolls, but d20+ are dangerous. Unless you get oversized ones, but everyone knows those are woody and fibrous.
Ask not for whom the die rolls off the cutting board. It rolls for you and your severed finger.

Yeah, d100s are pretty ridiculous. One of my friends had one in high school and it took up most of his dice bag.
