Description
Personal Work
Full – Shading N/A
Now I've recently been trying to develop a more cartoon style. It's easier and faster to make a comic in cartoon than it is in my semi-realistic style. It was also kind of a practice on perspective. Kind if exaggerated because I was going for cartoon. I don't have an excuse for the frontmost paw.
You wouldn't believe how boring the art class critique is. The professor goes off on a tangent in the rudest way. Thus the fur was born! I might convert it to another color and color it underneath later on... This red pencil is a lot better for furring. It doesn't smudge like the graphite leads and, although it snaps easily, it quickly forms a sharp tip good for details.
The character is Arc. It wasn't supposed to be, but the markings became his. Archemedes, you know, the blue lemur that used to be a fox. He hasn't changed back, this is just the part of him that is my spirit guide. The other sides are my conscience and my muse.
Critique Me::
[-] Anatomy. I'm actually aiming towards something simpler, more cartoon.
Arc belongs to me. Don't use him.

It really depends on the style. Some people like the sketch lines. People like me like no lines, so yeah.

I think a small minority these days start their sketches the traditional way...

You sure? I don't know many who don't. I don't know many who can start digitally XD; I do know people who can draw directly into the program, but more that can't. It doesn't come put like they want it. Me neither, but I know it's because I'm using the wrong program--Corel Painter is what should be used. Also, I need a new tablet. The Intuos is apparently a more realistic experience than the Bamboo.
