You definitely nailed the peaceful atmosphere here. This is a lovely piece of work, and I have no problem imagining the man setting saide the papers he’s reading to talk to the young woman.

I really like the impressionistic feel of your style — it almost makes me feel like it’s raining where they are, and it’s only the lack of umbrellas that made me realize it wasn’t. (But if you ever choose to do a scene just after it rains, your technique is perfect). I love the buildings in the background — it makes me feel like this is in Europe somewhere on a street that’s stuck between being quiet and being busy. The guy’s posture is well done — the hunch of being preoccupied with his work, but still somewhat at ease and relaxed. He’s busy, but not harried — definitely would have time to share a cup of coffee with the right person.

And I’ll admit I kind of love the woman. I love how she’s clearly about to sit down, how she’s handing over the unexpected cup of coffee (I mean, if he was expecting it, he’d be reaching for it, right?), and I think you did a gorgeous job on her hair — I’m jealous of how well you did it (it’s something I’m always working on). 

In all, I’m just really curious as to whether this is a meet-cute, or a random encounter between friends, or just … whatever. But don’t tell me, because not knowing is part fo what makes it work.

Okay, that’s all I have, but if there was anything you were hoping to get a comment on that I missed, just let me know and I’ll try to swing back for another look.

This is very beautiful! The shift between darker and lighter tones looks lovely and once again you have skillfully set the background apart by difference in lightness. The balance of dark and light is just right and I love the loose way of shading you have here where the color flows naturally within the shaded areas. The ink texture shows, yet the refine highlights keep the shapes refined.

The details of this piece are lovely and even if most of them are on the background, they compliment the characters nicely and create a lovely space. The smoke from the cup is the only place that could use more work – perhaps a bit more should be visible through it or it could be just a couple of lines of highlights. Also just some small dark shadows could be added underneath his arm to set it apart from the back of his coat.

Anatomy also looks good, but pay attention on the profiles. The lady looks fine but the man seems to have his eye and eyebrow too high and up pretty close to the ridge of the nose. A little nudge inwards and down and he’ll look great.

I like this one because it tells at story with only one glance. Your strength is the expressing the lighting in the picture. You know how to make a center focus of light and using the black/white shading scale. I don't think there is anything that needs to be worked on. This piece is pretty good!

Но передний фон можно вытащить чуть глубже! Ну, лично мне так кажется. Кроме того, у вас есть острое пятно на мусорном ведре. Многие художники ползают таким образом, когда хотят ориентировать человека на то, на что ему нужно обратить внимание. Тебе не кажется, что это место сильно бьет по глазам? Мне нравится графика! Удачи вам и вашей работе! Вы прекрасно рисуете!

Good job at creating depth in the image by keeping the foreground darker than the background - This way it looks detailed and visually appealing without seeming overloaded! You really nailed it with the peaceful vibes in this.
