Description
this is my contest entry for #Art-in-the-Bloodi love that scene when Moriarty and Sherlock meet in his flat, i think thats the most memorable scene in the book for me, cause the waterfall part wasn't that epic for me

I know what you mean. That cryptic dialogue in the scene, where the Professor and Holmes already know each other's point of view and responses. Such dialogue is now a trifle cliche', but in 1893 when Conan Doyle wrote it it was new, subtle, and full of menace. Both men are super-intelligent, and admire each other as an opponent (in post 1894 stories, Holmes will lament the absence of Moriarity on the criminal scene), but realize they must rid the world of the other if they are to survive. So yes, it is a fascinating moment in the Holmes' Canon.
