Description
Edit: ~DreamIsNotLife finished to draw and colour Isyr's little brother today. Here it is ! [link]
YEAH !
After sooooo many try I finally managed to submit at least one out of two
drawings ! I'm absolutely not familiar with this new submission process yet,
since it's new that's understandable, but will probably get used to it soon.
So, here is a new character. Yup, another one. His name is Isyr. He lives
in the same village as these other fairies: [link] He is twenty five
years old and he has a little brother whom he loves a lot and take great
care of. And ~DreamIsNotLife is supposed to draw Isyr's little brother
soon.
As you can see, Isyr is a very charismatic fairy. He enjoys a lot dancing
and waist cinching. His little brother too by the way. Isyr taught his
brother how to dance and wear tight waistband. He was a sort of
teacher for him, and he still is.
They both live together in a small but comfy house in that village full of
fairies. Their parents don't live in the same place because they had to
move for their job. Fortunately, they often send gifts to their children
and pay them a visit from time to time, for special occasions, like
birthdays or special events.
Isyr is admired and respected by many for his beauty, skills and long
hair. Having long hair is a sign of nobility in this fairy village.
And since I have difficulties drawing only for me these days, I firstly
drew this as a gift for my friend ~DreamIsNotLife
you like it ~

Indeed ! I just love Eärén so much ! *3* ~DreamIsNotLife really did a wonderful illustration of Isyr's little borther and had very beautiful ideas for the jewelery and short. Also the colours were very pretty and well done ! I love him !

He looks soooo fantastic with those ballet shoes and laces up to his knee! X3 OMG! And that small thong and a tiny jacket!! This character design is just too good to be real, if there were boys like that dancing in ballet... *faint* That'd be too hot to watch!! *-* And on top of everything else, he also loves waist cinching!! :> He has such a beautiful thin waist, by the way, really makes his hips more curvy without making them bigger, and his lower belly is specially beautiful, most probably thanks to his regular waist cinching exercises ^-^
It's not mentioned if he can dance or contort but honestly, even just standing there, he has such a sweet aura of beauty and he really doesn't even need to do anything else, just standing there is so beautiful!! X3 Such a beautiful work you've done on him!! :3 And you give your characters the most charming names as well, Isyr sounds so poetic and mysterious *-* By the way, would be so wonderful if you could give that very bendy boy with green pants some name too, but just saying ^.^
It is very true that it's hard to draw just for yourself! And it's very nice that your friends inspire you so much. That is the best for an artist to have such friends who also inspire, because most artists are completely friendless people, or at least they have no common interests with others. There's a lot of people who like what the artist draws but at the same time they wouldn't draw such things themselves... But there are just few people who really have common interests with you in art, they understand the beauty of it, they love to draw it themselves and they love to talk about it with a lot of passion for everything they draw. Such friends are golden and they're very hard to find, that's why we should all be together ^-^
Hopefully soon we'll see Isyr's little brother!! And it's a very interesting tradition to have nobles wear long hair, by the way ^.^

Thank you so much ! I'm so glad to know you appreciated this new character ! :3
I wanted to create a special design for this character, something that would suggest lightness and fairy style. I'm glad you liked the lacing around his legs and his little outfit. :3 I drew this during classes and my friend next to me was looking at it with a weird face. He's a man and found it weird for a boy to wear such tight underwear. X3 His reaction made me laugh. Anyway, I'm very happy you enjoyed the outfit that much ! :'3
I'm just so happy you like this character that much ! Reading your comment warms up my heart. <3 Thank you so much Yuni for your so kind words !
Yes, I'm sorry it took me so much time to decide for a name for this bendy boy with green shorts. ^.^' I don't know why I did not give him a name earlier. I just forgot I thought, or maybe I could not find a good name. But now he has one and I'm glad of it ! :3 Romir ~ I like that name and find it good for him.
I'm glad that you like the name of Isyr. I did not even have to think of the name. It came instantly while colouring the drawing. I thought of Iris, the flower, and then thought of Isyr for the name of this character. Maybe the colours, hair and outfit made me thin of the flower. ^.^'
Yes, every time I draw I think of my friends. In fact, before drawing I always think "what my friend would like me to draw ?" instead of thinking "what should I draw ?". My friends in the class don't think of their friends when they draw, they just think of the teachers or the marks they could have. I don't think like that at all. I always think of my friends when I draw, particularly ~DreamIsNotLife and you. I just love to draw for both of you and always feel very inspired when I think of you. I'm sorry, I have the impression of repeating the same things again and again but I don't know how to express myself with other words. ^.^'
Yes, we'll see Isyr's little brother very soon ! By the way, ~DreamIsNotLife showed the line art and I loved it. I can't wait to see the coloured version. Oh and, the little brother has a name by the way, I found him one two days ago. He's named Eärén. :3
I really thank you a lot Yuni for your very kind words about my art and about this character ! It really touches me a lot that you like so much my art. <3

Yeah, his reaction is expected because in art schools they don't teach the main thing: art is freedom! You study art only to be more and more free with it, not to limit yourself more and more! You don't study art to learn something like "men are not supposed to be drawn in tight underwear". That's rubbish! You study art to be able to draw men in tight underwear even better than before XD A picture of a man in tight underwear is art, it's not a real man in tight underwear :3
The first rule to make good art: never mix it with reality! L'art pour l'art. You can take anything from reality, any designs, any traditions from the past and turn it all into art. That's not crazy, that is really cool and you just play with everything and combine it as you like, that is art! But to take something from art and put it into reality is a real madness. It's the root of all evil in the world that people take art "seriously" and try to force art to make sense and be useful in reality or, even worse, try to turn art into reality! It gives birth to all kinds of maniacs, religious fanatics, politicians etc. They all try to change the reality instead of just creating their own world of art where they could experiment all they want. Art itself is very safe, beautiful and perfect <3
Yes, Isyr is very lovely and provokes a lot of thought about his life and his kingdom of fairies ^.^ And it's such a beautiful name!! So very happy also to know that it came spontaneously to you, that makes this name even more beautiful <3 By the way, wonder if fairies are even smaller than elves? :3 And can't wait to see his little brother Eärén ^-^ <3
You're very welcome and no worries at all about being repetitive or whatever, it would suck badly if we simply said to each other everything we wanted and then stopped talking XD That would be funny and ridiculous. Maybe we should draw only one backbend and then stop, lol. Or even worse, take only one breath and then die because we're not supposed to be repetitive XD

"L'art pour l'art." That's exactly that ! I just can't imagine trying to make art real. I mean, art is art, not real life or things that could exist. If art was this, then we would all drawing the same subjects that we all can see everyday in our life, and that would seem so boring, so... that would be art, that would be depicting reality. But art is not that. In art, everything is possible and everything can be done. To me, that is art. :3 And so, if I want to draw a man with animal ears and tail in tight underwear, there is no problem at all ! ^-^ That's the spirit I like in art. Without it I would be so sad and lost.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your very kind words about Isyr ! :3 Oh and, I noticed you often appreciates the name I give to my characters and want to thank you for that because it really makes me happy ! <3
Yes, you're so true about repetitive things. ^-^ Life is repetitive after all and everything is very repetitive. It's just the way we interpret it that makes it different everyday and enjoyable. :3

"L'art pour l'art." means that art has no purpose other than just being what it is, a piece of art. People who argue with this phrase, often think that art must have a purpose to educate people, or to be useful in some way. For example, some African artists say that in Africa there's no art that has no purpose, every African art has a purpose for something else: it's used for non-verbal communication, such as signs or concepts, to let other people know about something, or for other such purposes. So African artists don't understand what "L'art pour l'art" means, they literally say that art that has no external purpose is a "piece of dog shit" (citation from wikipedia).
Personally, I don't agree, I don't think that a drawing of a character is a piece of dog shit only because it has no practical use. It sounds like nonsense to me! ^.^ Moreover, I don't think it's physically possible to create art that is completely useless. No matter what you create, even a child's drawing is useful in many ways: 1) the child learns to draw by drawing it, 2) the child's parents may be proud, 3) the child may draw to explain better what he saw somewhere, 4) this child's drawing may be put in an album and then many years latter the grown up person will look at it and remember what they drew as a child, and so on... I think there's no example of a drawing that is useless. A drawing may be useless only for a particular person, but in this case that person can screw off! ^.^
Anyway, you're very welcome, and yes I do love very much the names you give to your characters! ^-^ And glad we both see that any repetition is just a cycle of life itself, so to speak! ^.^
