Description
A rather large commission for a fireartist. [link]This is the very first time I seriously painted something that has to do with fire.

This is simply majestic, awesome, and terrific at the same time. I am impressed by the high level of details which makes the composition very realistic. The use of warm colours gives the powerful impression of the destructive force this dragon has. I love how the highlights under his ventral and neck scales seems to be given by the underlying lava when it might be linked to the inner fire this dragon has inside. This is a nice way to play with highlights because it tricks the viewer into thinking it might be the inner flame or the light of the underlying lava. Excellent job. I honestly think this deserves a DD.

Wow. I can't believe I found this again... I had just given up finding out who the artist was, and it's you.
This image inspired the beginnings of a book many years ago (at 240 pages, it's still not quite done 
I have a different perspective on it now, and see it with new eyes. It's a very weird feeling indeed, looking back on who I was then and how much I have changed and developed as a person. I think I may have found an art style which I can finally connect with. We will see; at the very least, it will be a step in the right direction

This really depicts the ferocity of the dragon. The colors are magnificent, and the shading has been done very realistically.

I really like the rough feeling of the dragon and it's surroundings, it really lends the picture an earthy quality.
