The Theta gate actually looks quite a lot like the Greek letter Theta - was that deliberate? Great page anyway - nice spacey effects and I love the ominous political stuff going on here - why is someone so powerful using a bunch of mercenary lowlifes to do such an important job? Mysteries!

that was totally coincidental! i only know a few greek letters and theta is not among them, haha!
hmm good questions! maybe because they're expendable? or maybe because sometimes bringing an army is less effective than using only a few people?
or maybe there's a much higher force at work here...with an even more sinister scheme!

i actually googled all kinds of jumpgates to make sure mine doesnt look like the known ones...you know, no ring, no tunnel, no relay...so i came up with the idea of two giant particle colliders that create the wormhole between them!
...if someone else had that design idea before, then i can only blame google for not pointing me to it
