got the tron legacy dvd today and daaaamn what an awesome movie!unfortunately i wasn't able to see it in theatre
i know it's not perfect, especially sams face and the colors, but i'm satisfied with it since it was a 2hours warm-up pic
used a scene from the movie as reference btw

This pic underlines what I thought about this movie when I saw it the first time:
Atmosphere: Awesome! You don't feel like the actors had no idea what they were looking at or where they are (unlike the Star Wars prequel trilogy). Flashy and sleek design made for a unique feel.
Music: Daft. Punk. Need I say more? The production execs couldn't have made a better choice. The soundtrack goes hand in hand with the stunning visuals. It will always have a place on my mp3-player. Hell, I even wake up to the beats of "Castor"!
Story: What story? It's pretty damn basic, but most of the time I didn't mind the plotholes too much, because the rest of the movie was well done. Having a bit more of a story to it would've turned it from a good movie into a great movie.
Actors: That's what made up for the lacking story part. I really liked the cast and how the emotion displayed isn't overdramatical or bombastical like in usual Hollywood movies. The very downplayed romance is very cute to watch and doesn't beat you over the head with a BIG DAMN KISS. It's all the small, subtle hints that made it fun for me. And moments like Sam meeting his father after almost 20 years made me get all teary-eyed myself. It felt real.

Easiest home theatre: purchase a 4-500 or cheaper HD projector. place appropriately. If wall is colored, purchase 60" or bigger window shade (solid white bg) and attach to ceiling. roll up when finished and everything is out of the way. With teh right sound system, it is just as good as going to the movies

Funnily enough I got it when I was living in a space that was super small and a nice size TV wouldn't fit. Now I've retained my projector. BUY EPSON. and only use it for movies and stuff, don't waste the bulb on regular TV. the bulbs are about 150-200 generally speaking, but last a long time. I had my first one for years and it worked perfectly when I sold it to pay for another one.

i know the original tron movie has grown to be somewhat legendary...BUT! the original tron wasnt perfect itself (actually it was a total fail at the box office back then).
i think they did a great job on legacy and i really liked it as a sequel aswell as a stand alone movie

I loved this film. My friends pointed out a few flaws with the film, but I didn't care, it was just so much fun and the soundtrack was amazing. Can't wait for the next film, I hear they are making a few.
Film aside though, I think this is one of the best images you've made out of all I've seen. The detail is fantastic, as well as the movement which you bring out in Quorra's hair, really brings the image to life.

who cares about flaws as long as you can enjoy the movie? XD it's the same with games, i can live with bugs as long as they don't destroy the experience
