You make such nice color transitions on MS paint, I am only struggling to understand how you do it. Could you give me tips?

I don't know, practice? it was hard to do at first, but just continue to use the color picker to customize your colors and do your best to match it by sight. I've never really advocated picking from photos, as the granulation tends to do some weird things. Also, check out Supernovas Ms Paint tutorials, [link] which includes some information about colors, and other ms paint majycks.

i had a character named sparrowleap once. it was a tom though.... but he looked at bit like yours.

Ugh. I did a horrible job, it burns my eyes. I'm so much better at writing than coloring x(
I'm not sure how to make it up to you, other than draw you another character. However I probably would choose one without the complicated stripes. I'm sorry!

I judge not upon the skill of the work but the effort and diligence to create it. it's a great picture in my eyes! I always love seeing art of my characters, and I in no way expect everyone to match my style. I love it.
