Infos:This is my very first GNOME Shell theme, it was possible with the huge help of half-left.
6 variants included: Gnome, Arch, Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian and KDE

Instructions:
Backup your theme directory first. Extract the zip file and rename "gnome-shell" directory to "theme" and copy to /usr/share/gnome-shell/. This path is usually where GNOME Shell is installed.
Restart GNOME Shell by Alt, F2, then type r and press enter.
You can use the gnome-shell theme extension for easier installation of themes.
Notes:
This theme is compatible with GNOME Shell 3.0.
This theme supports the gnome-tweak-tool/extension for easy theme switching. Just download the zip, load up the GNOME Tweak Tool, go to Shell>Shell Theme and find the zipped theme from the box and select it.

i have Ubuntu 12.04 LTS as my operating system. can i get this o there and how? the instructions you gave aren't working.

note that it's only compatible with gnome-shell 3.0 so if you're using version 3.2 it could cause problems.

what's the GTK theme you were using? (the one that renders the menu)

the GTK in the screenshoot is zukitwo. But if you mean the popup menus, they are part of gnome-shell

This is awesome but the word activities covers my Arch logo, any ideas on a way around this?

still the only theme i cannot get to install/work.

why?
just open the zip file in it there are 6 zip files, that means that there are 6 different themes. If you'd like to use "X3ME - Arch" variant extract its zip in:
/usr/share/themes
after that press ALT+F2 and type "r" (without quotes)
That's all.

gnome-shell lo trovo decisamente innovativo ora come ora perΓ² ha qualche piccola pecca...(alcune risolvibili con tools appositi).
Comunque rispetto a Unity lo direi che Γ¨ piΓΉ figo
Per togliere qualsiasi dubibo io ti consiglio di provare il live CD di Fedora 15 (su Ubuntu puΓ² funzionare peggio).
