Description I made a nice doodle in school and then I decided I wanted to keep working on it. I was too lazy to give the poor pony a body though, but he/she looks like she/he can handle it. I got some really nice help from this tutorial for the eyes but I still tried to keep them in my own style. Check it out [link]

I like some parts of this but not all, as usual. Any comments or critique is greatly appreciated. (Also, if anyone have any good tutorial for making hair lying around, share that shit D=.)

I LOVE THE EYES and the sword is super cool again too. When you're drawing hair it's not like drawing bodies where you have to make the form defined and specific... just gotta let it flow off their head and work itself out around their face from your drawing instrument like it does in reality. The only trouble with that is it takes foreverrrrrrr to draw every single strand in.

Thanks and yeah I need to practice on hair a lot, it always ends up being "anime"-ish, and bad as well. I tried drawing in the strands of hair in this one after I had drawn this shape, but that was just impossible.

try doing random strands with the ultimate goal being making a shape out of a bunch of them then, instead of starting with a shape and trying to fill it in. The only reason this ever backfires on me is 1. I'm trying to draw someone with white hair and it turns out too dark, or 2. I get lazy and just start scribbling xD But since you do stuff in colour the first probably won't be a problem for you lol. The hair you do isn't all that bad though, it just looks kinda like someone went crazy with spiking gel

Meh I'm horrible at it myself so it's fine . And I really like Walker I just need to find another word to combine it with. Oh and btw do you think this looks like a mare or a colt =s? Just be honest xD.

Yeah I just stared at it too much while drawing so I guess I got blind. It was meant to be a mare to begin with because I always feel like all my ponies look feminine... so hey this is not so bad then! I finally made a colt xD! Desert Walker would work but isn't it a bit too "obvious"? or at least too expected haha I have too high expectations on my character names.
