the characters i keep coming up with all resemble me in some way or another... i can't get over myself, i have to jump out of my comfort zone i guess...

i would say just go crazy with the design and see what you come up with, but if they look kinda like you then fine xD they are your characters and whatever you come up with is going to be fabulous!
