I haven't officially submitted anything in a hundred years so I wanted to post something outside of status updates! So have the most relatable panel of the comic thus far. Literally me this week.For clarification since a few have asked: BOOM and the Doomsday Debacle is a comics pitch of 12 pages I'm doing for a publication contest. What this means in a nutshell is that I could potentially win a chance to publish this story in its entirety via this company if I win. Therefore, I won't be posting any of the completed pages online right away just in case that effects anything down the road. I don't believe I'll win just because of inexperience in these sorta things, but it never hurts to try just in case! One of the editor's of this company is conveniently coming to my program's Editor's Day and I'm going to try to get a portfolio review from him; so regardless these pages are going to be of extreme value to me whether I win or not!
After the winners of the contest are announced and I know 100% I didn't win I will post the pages. This will supposedly be some time in June or July. So, sadly, no dinosaur adventures for awhile!
At current, I have 10 of 12 pages done. The remaining 2 are flat-blocked in so I just need to fill in the right colors and do any effects needed. I'm aiming to have it done by Thursday since this thing is due midnight of April 1st! After I finish it, I'll be drawing for myself for a little bit. I just need a break from all these comics. So you'll only see stupid or random doodles/drawings and school work for a week or two. Once I'm recovered I'll return to my usual schedule of working on The Selection and getting it back up and running. I'm very, very glad I decided to not work on it while I did this pitch project. It's been extremely difficult whipping these pages out in such a short time and with TS on top there's no way I could have kept myself from burnout. Last quarter of school was very heavy on top of it and I needed this Spring break to work on BOOM and just... chill.
This quarter so far will be fairly lax. So I hope to get some cool stuff out before summer. Thanks everyone for being so encouraging on this project!

Thanks!! It would be rad if I placed. But also overwhelming because then I would have to draw another 50 pages of the story ahaha BUT they are fun, at least, and challenging since this isn't my standard art style.

Wow, I hope something pans out! I'd try to bounce something off of Murphy's Law, but at this stage I think the risks outweigh the rewards...

Aha, it would be amaaaazing if something came out of it. But anything else, it'll be a learning experience and I'll get some feedback! And some FAAAB portfolio pieces. So No complaints! Sometimes I need stuff like this to get me to stretch out of my comfort zone.

I admit it would be hella awesome to see little feathered dinos running around in a comic that's cartoony and not, like, hyper realistic! 8D It seems like anytime dinos are seen accurately they are realistic and if they are cartoony they are attempting to be accurate but fall very short (like raptors that only have head/tail/arm feathers or something PFF Like those gross raptors in The Good Dinosaur). But if anything I can use this as a pitch for the future or MAYBE EVEN MAKE IT A COMIC ANY WAY ONE DAY who knows 8D
