EDIT: New description cause old one had outdated information and was bugging me. lol
WIP of a scene I was going to do for an animated advertisement for my novel Calestine Princess (which has nothing to do with wolves btw).
Here is the final scene:

However the ad has since been scrapped.
As well, the wolf is not an Earth wolf but rather a wolf from the world the story takes place in (so some anatomy differences are intended) however the wolf design has been altered so... I dunno what you consider this now.
This was done in Photoshop Elements 3.0 then uploaded to a trial version of CS3 Extended to animate.

whoa! I bet this took a long time! i did an animation with only three frames once and it took me FOREVER!!! good job!

This took around 2 1/2 hours for just this simply 8-ish frames XD And 2 hours LATER I successfully completed this little scene (first howl) and added shading and BG and better effect which took 34 frames and only 8 seconds!

Well, I animate by drawing frame after frame via layers in photoshop then putting them together in ImageReady. Most people just use Flash, though, but I didn't like it XD

8D Very cool! <3 I actually really like the way you did this. As you well know, I pretty much suck at drawing animals, so I can't really give any crit at all on how to fix this XD; I suck at animating, too... then again, no one ever told me how, so whatever 8D; Anyway! I really this, it looks really cool!

OOOH You did a excellent job on this! Not jerky at all. I didn't even think of it as a wolf at first but then it looked like one of your, "Mystic Me" wolves so I was like, "OH ok. XD"

Well, we went there but they didn't stock it so we're gonna try and see if we can get it at an official store or something. Plus, we're looking for a cheap one cause most photoshops that hold it are $1,000. That's why that $86 one was such a good offer (it was downloadable, you don't get a disk which is why the price is so cheap)

The coloration sort made me think immediately of =Samwich 's fursona... the markings are quite similar so I couldn't help but think "Sam" when you drew this. I don't even Watch Sam, yet I recognize her fursona's colorations. Weird!
Anywho, you did a very exceptional job on this one. When it was loading I thought "oh crap, I hope she remembered to animate the REST of the body!" but you did. The movement of the tail, chest, and back really does make the thing flow nicely.
I can offer you very little- if any- critique on this one. I know absolutely nothing about animation, so um... for once I'm critique-ness. Sorry. D:
But um...I can't wait to see the final version. Nice work!

I've actually only seen her once or twice maybe. I actually thought the char favored my bud *PinoyWolf 's fursona just a bit XD
Oh, and don't worry, throughout the animation he moves his legs and body too <3 And thanks! You really think the clump of fur on his back should continue moving? I think I might make it move in a few more frames so it doesn't just suddenly start coming alive!

Oh yes, yes, I would say that the "lump" of fur should move just a tiny bit less. But it does in fact give the back a little sense of motion... if it weren't there the back would look a little bit stuff. :3

It's definitely quite a pain to get everything perfect, or at least adequate. This little bit alone took me a good 2 1/2 hours!
... But that's probably because I'm so obsessive about it
I've had some people tell me my wolf anatomy reminds them a bit of coyote's or dingo's and yet not at the same time XD I'm so confusing!
