Description lol total suckage! <8D
If it doesn't work then Download.

EDIT: New description cause old one had outdated information and was bugging me. lol

WIP of a scene I was going to do for an animated advertisement for my novel Calestine Princess (which has nothing to do with wolves btw).

Here is the final scene:
[link]

However the ad has since been scrapped.

As well, the wolf is not an Earth wolf but rather a wolf from the world the story takes place in (so some anatomy differences are intended) however the wolf design has been altered so... I dunno what you consider this now.

This was done in Photoshop Elements 3.0 then uploaded to a trial version of CS3 Extended to animate.

Not only Photoshop, but Photoshop Elements 3.0! One of the lower-grade photoshops. :]

Well i heard from a atleast 5 people that photoshop elements suck, so you must have quite some talent there!

Haha, indeed, a lot of people really don't like it. But as long as you know what you're doing, you can make ANY program good. Elements is a life-saver for me. I actually like it way more than the higher grades.

One last Question, Would you recomend it for a beginer animator? -sorry! I HAV 2 KNoWZ!-- lolz

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AlfaFilly In reply to TheSixthSinEnvy [2010-06-02 23:49:16 +0000 UTC]

Ummm I would recommend it for people who are familiar with photoshop prior. Otherwise it would be just as new to you then as it would be to use any other program like Flash. Though I would suggest it if you'd like to make practice animations (like, say, short loop cycles) as the .gif function does wonders with it. For long projects, not so much.

Windshade888 In reply to AlfaFilly [2007-11-28 13:08:59 +0000 UTC]

^_^ I see how many pictures did you paint?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AlfaFilly In reply to Windshade888 [2007-11-29 03:40:25 +0000 UTC]

Hmm... I used around 14 frames with around 28 layers at least, more or less, paiting over each one, though I copied several of the color layers and just fixed them to what was correct with each frame. <83

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Windshade888 In reply to AlfaFilly [2007-12-04 10:30:21 +0000 UTC]

^_^ aha doubled copies, yeah that makes alot of layers , it is easy to paint or draw on the wrong layer, then you have to start over again "sigh"

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AlfaFilly In reply to Windshade888 [2007-12-05 03:55:25 +0000 UTC]

Heck yeah! DX>
Luckily I have the ability to organize my layers so they don't get all that confusing. XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Windshade888 In reply to AlfaFilly [2007-12-05 11:56:35 +0000 UTC]

XD do you use group layers?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AlfaFilly In reply to Windshade888 [2007-12-06 01:12:22 +0000 UTC]

No, I tried that once but it confused me XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Windshade888 In reply to AlfaFilly [2007-12-06 17:49:08 +0000 UTC]

^_^ I could tell you a tip, if you like to move your figure or what you are creting, you could take all the layers togerther in one group layer, then select the move tool or transform freedom. Something liek that, canΒ΄t rember

the point is, instead of taking one layer by one layer and move, the nose, the outlines, the color, the shading and whatever, you could collect them all in one group layer and move them once instead of "how many layers XXX number you have" ^_^

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AlfaFilly In reply to Windshade888 [2007-12-06 20:27:47 +0000 UTC]

ooh <8O that makes sense! I'll try that out sometime and see what happens! <83

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Windshade888 In reply to AlfaFilly [2007-12-07 16:13:09 +0000 UTC]

^_^ I have done it, it is great and you could rezsie the figure as well, just rember to hold down the shift button, to scale it perfect. ^^

That is actually really awesome! I think it was pretty smooth, and all the frames look like they were drawn really well in relation to each other, great job <33

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AlfaFilly In reply to knight-owl [2007-11-23 20:45:14 +0000 UTC]

Aww thanks! <83 Glad to here it moves pretty smooth. Hopefully my further animations will be just as smooth or smoother. Practice makes perfect I guess

Karbik [2007-11-21 20:43:57 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm.....You already mentioned all the stuff I was thinking of and I barely have any clue how a wolf howls (movement-wise).....IT NEEDS MORE PINK!

Meh, naw. I'm not a pink-tard. But the only things I can really think of is either boosting the FPS a bit or draw more inbetween frames cause it's tends to looks kinda like you animated on two's at some spots. Of course, being a common technique, it might as well stay that way.

Dis commercial thingy sounds pretty damned interesting...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AlfaFilly In reply to Karbik [2007-11-21 21:18:11 +0000 UTC]

Pink?? Pink?? Pink ish blinding!! DD8>

Well, I hope I improved it by adding in more frames during the howl and moving the fur on the neck and legs (since I made it a bit windy to make it look interesting rather then just there) so I hope that seriously makes it look better.
... now I need to figure how the heck to make the bushes directly behind him sway in the wind XD They look so stupid right now.

I hope I get a chance to finish it before Christmas. I still have... 9 more scenes to do. Scene 2 is already lined out almost, just have to add a couple more frames, the coloring, shading, and BG. I'm going to try and just do the lining on all of them and put it together in the commercial as a preview before I completely finish it. I'm even storyboarding this thing which is something I've never done before. XD;

*wishes she possesed good animal-drawing skills*
I need to work on my claws badly for my charries like the Dark feeders.
What's the program you use? I'd like to try something like that!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

AlfaFilly In reply to Invader-Vex [2007-11-19 03:42:52 +0000 UTC]

They only take practice, really. Animals are pretty easy to draw. Most species at least.
ooh, Dark Feeders? That sounds interesting. Claws are fun to draw <3

oh! Well, when you get Image Ready (which is a program you put together animations with) it should come in some sort of Photoshop Program, usually CS2 or CS3 but some below that carry it as well. Here's an excellent tutorial I used when I first started: [link]
Then of course you can use Macromedia Flash but I, personally, didn't like the way it worked as it was rather complicated. Though it did have nice effects in it.

<3 Good luck though if you do manage to try! OH! and I highly recommend trying out the 30-day trial [link] (just drop down the list and find "Photoshop CS3 Extended" as that's what I use)

That is COOL!
But I can't make any sort of animation, so I'm impressed by just about anyone who can make stuff cooler than my pitiful little GiF stuffs xD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AlfaFilly In reply to TheGreatInvaderBob [2007-11-18 21:24:12 +0000 UTC]

XDD It takes quite a bit of practice and tedious effort. If you aren't patient you'd never make it.
Aww, I bet you can make something totally awesome! I just know it! <8D

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TheGreatInvaderBob In reply to AlfaFilly [2007-11-18 23:58:20 +0000 UTC]

I don't think I could, since it's GiF that I've got (and only a trial at that) and I'm not very good with making pictures and such on any sort of computer program.

AlfaFilly In reply to TheGreatInvaderBob [2007-11-19 02:09:57 +0000 UTC]
