Alright, first off, this picture is a HUGE improvement from your past drawings. The background is more detailed than the others, and the lines are cleaner and straighter.

Alright, lets hear the "negative" stuff first:
The only thing I see immediately wrong with the characters is some anatomical errors. Such as Ayla's left back leg and front leg. Just make the back leg shorter and the front leg's paw on the floor. Sage looks good though, but perhaps her legs should stick out more to the sides, rather than stick to her body.
The only other problems seem to occur in the background. First thing, rocks are almost the only things in nature that have strict angles and very harsh shading. The basic shapes look fine, but the tops should be straight and angular, not fuzzy. The river is fine, but would look a little better with a river bank or something like that. The last thing is that the grass on the horizon should be smaller than the grass in the foreground, due to distance.

Now the good stuff c:
I really like the overall companionship feel of this picture. Ayla and Sage look like two friends happily playing by the river. Their poses also look awesome, looking like this picture was 'taken' when they where in mid play.
I love how you are spending more time on backgrounds, it really makes the picture.
The environment of this scene is also quite intriguing. It looks as if they are in a desert oasis, or something along those lines. I applaud you that you made your own grass tufts too. It gives the picture an original feel. The rocks and river add a nice gray scale calmness to the bright colors of the wolves, supplying a nice contrast. The sky is also very pretty, and the clouds have a pleasant 'cartoony' touch. The shading definitely is amazing! The way you streak the shadow to look like fur is fantastic! I suggest just making the shadow a color and adding light colored highlight to make the picture even better c:

Overall, great job with this picture and great improvement! You are certainly starting to get your own original, awesome style, and I can't wait to see more of your art in the future!
