How they Met

Melvin had heard so much about being able to have bug types as pets! Being new, about a week or so after his first arrival in Pokette Town, he had asked for the help of miss Antonia after buying himself a net. He and the Noctowl ventured into the forest area, with Antonia giving helpful hints to Melvin in order for him to have a successful capture. With his net in his hands, he shuffled his way over to see a small little bug idly sleeping.

Figuring he'd be able to catch one with ease rather than a chasing spree at this hour, he was able to easily scoop up the little Wurmple. Little did he know however, once he had done so the Wurmple started to wail. He hadn't realizd he'd caught such a young one! He scooped the little one out of the net before he sang the little worm a lullaby, until the bug was lulled back to slumber.

Melvin decided to name him Rumple, and thanked Antonia greatly for helping him catch his very first bug companion.

Present Time :

It's been a good few months ever since Melvin had Rumple. The little guy loves honey, and Melvin takes Rumple with him everywhere. When he was very small, Melvin carried Rumple around in a baby carrier, before finally as he grew bigger Rumple now seats himself on Melvin's shoulder, head, or the collar portion of Melvin's sweater.

Melvin takes very good care of Rumple, spoils the little one rotten!

Rumple has met few bug friends during his meetings that Melvin has had. He is friendly with Hanzo The Skorupi, Jam the Combee, and Nuisance The Ledian.
