I'm amazed you only have a 350D. However, it's the photographer and not the camera that takes the good photograph, but you should really think about making an investment in a better camera, perhaps one with a FF sensor. Have you thought about getting yourself the new 5D mark II?

Oh man, that sucks! I always clean mine very very carefully, either with a brush or by compressed air. I'm saving for the 5D mark II myself, but I'm only half way there. x)
