meet dos, the very first companion- well, the one made off the stolen data from toby anyways!! he has no gender, and no real sex- but he's referred to as a guy by his worker, though most commonly referred to as an it. he doesn't really care though, whatever

he was the first one ever made and acts as a 'base' for other companions- he is hooked up to machines that are pretty much like life support for him, if he's disconnected he'd shut down, but not die? he could be plugged back in yeah. and is the center of where companions can access knowledge, so if he's disconnected, companions won't have access to what he knows, and he knows fuckin everything okay

there are people that have to run tests on him and such and the main worker spends time with him and learns that dos doesn't really care about whether he lives or dies or the fact he'll never truly experience life, and the worker is just frustrated with his lack of caring about his morality since these sentient robots are supposed to care and whatnot, but the more they talk the more it's therapeutic for him- he's also treated somewhat like a wise elder, cute

youll notice he's got the same split face thing going on like zero, the virus has: zero is a mockery of dos and so that was intentional on the hacker's part

dos will continue to live as long as the corporation need him for, and as long as companions are alive and running, he's gonna be around for a long time

anwyays he doesn't have skin layering for easy access into what his body holds, he's basically what the companions look like without skin, with some select parts cut out. ofc there's some wiring and junk within and he has a deeper skeleton on the inside of him but that'd be kinda creepy. maybe one day i'll draw him with that FFHHGDSF
