Overall
Vision
Originality
Technique
Impact
Although I have seen many similar artworks before on this site, you have an ability to take things to the next level with your technique and vision. Originality doesn't matter if you bring true and honest skill to your work.
There is real depth to this piece which perfectly honours the title given to it, and the eye is drawn to every little detail, from the perfectly captured haziness of the planets atmosphere (which is seen in every photo taken of the Earth from orbit), the slender crescents of the moons, and to the ethereal quality of the faint nebula and the ever present dusting of stars.
The more you look, the deeper you are drawn in, and that is the true impact of this finely crafted piece.
I honestly cannot fault this piece, for it captures the essence of how space can look and feel. It isn't always a riot of colours out there, and you have blown my mind once more eith your abilities.

How do you even begin to compute an artwork of this scale? My pc is from an alien spaceship and yet photoshop can't deal with file sizes like those. What's the secret?

oh well this was made prior to me losing my hard drive with my data. i used the hard drive for a lot of my computing power when making artworks of this scale. but now that i have a new hard drive only for storage i have to rely on only my pc's ram for all the computing power. it's significantly lower with only 4.5 gb ram allocated to photoshop, before it was around 6.5 gb. it gets the job done, but i have to work slower and be more patient with rendering or i could crash photoshop or the pc. i honestly don't mind that my pc is now slower at rendering as i've also slowed down on the art as well. just life taking it's toll on me along with shifts in interest.
but seriously if you really want to boost your computing power, just get an external hard drive that has it's own power source and can handle high data transfer. or, if that's a bit on the pricey side, you could allocate more of your ram to photoshop, but be careful not to use too much, i'd say leave around 1.25 gb of free ram for other processes. also close unnecessary programs and only run large rendering programs independently of one another.

As great as everything you make, really love the depth you've put into it. Brings back those vibes I felt when I watched Alien for the first time.

thank you.
don't be hard on yourself, some of my earliest works were total eye sores. just keep practicing and remember that you have deviantart and more experienced artists like me that can help.
