You see, pirates aren't just all Davey Jone's locker and Johnny Depp. Some have specific jobs onboard ship, like the master gunner, who takes care the artillery, or the boatswain, who mends the sails, the loser.
I'm applying for the job of surgeon, who attaches peglegs, eyepatches and what-not. Not because I have any medical, mind you, but for my affection for cutting people's limbs off, as you can see by the badly-drawn stains on the cleaver and apron.
