The APU project has enters it's third month of production. so far i have the outline clean up in photoshop which took me two months and this is the outcome. using photoshop for most of the outline clean up, the colored red and blue outline was traced in illustrator, and i have bought a new wacom drawing tablet prepare for coloring. Those bits and pieces of spare parts around the APU are actually digital amendment i did in photoshop to have APU correct to it's correct prespective and propotion, especially the rounded parts. Even Alphaleo went throught a lot of amendment.This is propably the most insane art i ever did in my life so far. enjoy! and wait for the colored version.

I can't wait for the finished article - I can remember when you posted the first sketch, and even then It still looked perfect. The detail of this is amazing, and the perspective is perfect...I am just astonished....can't find words to describe...

That's even more commendable, since you are going to make everybody think you know a lot about machinery and engineering, and you don't even have a clue about it... it's like to draw a perfect body without knowing about anatomy, bones and muscles... even more credit for the artist....

insane doesnt even begin to describe this dood. the detail is mind boggling... how did you get so much detail in such small space? and that perspective.. dood you are godly.. the sheer will power to be able to stick with something with so much detail.. its amazing. its absolutely crazy. the proportions are perfect.
oh yea.. and about the notes about the realism.. the link seems to work fine for other people.. so i have no idea what the problem is x_x; i really appreciate the will to help tho. not only are you godly, but ur level-headed to.

Actually the real size is much more bigger than this cropped version, with heavyly detailed BG with sentinels flying around. and laphaleo is having fun shooting them down one by one.

Not to sound rude or anything.. but unless this is like.. >_> layout for rendering or something.. I'd say you've wasted your time. I mean, it looks awesome, sure.. but you've spent months making something that will, in the end, get as much attention as someone else's ten minute oC sketch of Inuyasha. I do admire your tenacity and the amount of work you're willing to put into a single piece.. but I think it's a shame that you've wasted so much time and effort.

I do agree that months of hard work will not necassary be paid off, as other people can do better than i am in terms of speed and getting attention. but i disagree that this little project i'm doing is "wasting my time" the real meaning of "wasting my time" only occurs when i gave up doing it, that is really is a waste of time. eventhought it really hurts to hear your comment but it too helps me to press on evenmore, thanks

I really must have given the wrong impression with what I said.
I'm not insulting your work. It's really very nice and detailed, and you obviously put a lot of work into it.
What I meant, is that you seem to have perhaps gotten caught up more on the technical than the artistic. It's very nice, I just think that if you would apply half the talent you obviously pour into technical perfection into emotion and composition, your art would be all the more breathtaking.

Wow....that is all i can truely say.....You talents blow me away. This is absolutly increadible. the attention you pay to detail is so awesome, yet you do what other artists of your calliber often don't. You make your characters likable, almost cartoony but totally believable too. That's what i love about your work it pleases the techys and is pleases the more character driven writers and it hibredizes the two increadibly smoothly. Keep it up, mate. Peace!
