May i ask on which computer did you drawed it? Windows 98? XP? Pentium 3 or 4? Or what tablet you used?

Ah... So nostalgic. To be honest i plan to buy some old graphical tablet for my retro pc with petium iii and win 98 se and trying to draw something in old photoshop.

It will be surelly easier than with win 10 update corrupting drivers for wacom tablets...

it was so long ago back in 2002, i can't really remember how long it took me, if i'm correct it took me a month or so from rough to color. it was a good start

Sure you do, your 2D drawing/Photoshop works look more 3D than my pathetic attempts at 3D animation... only thing is, I don't have a 3D animation program, it's only at school...

Man, I wish I could turn out stuff as cool as yours!

u can say that, i did some small photoshop painting before, but to first time maximized photoshop, and to get myself first started with using digital coloring.

thanks, lets put it this way, inspired by macross plus flight suit, final fantasy(movie) hologram, gundam war in the pocket alex cockpit, titan AE foot pedal, nadisico cockpit's hand control, my computer's mouse for control pad, evangilion's screens and monitor, any more qestions, thats all i can think off for the moment

Niiice, good selection of Mech designs to choose from. Heh, even your own computer too. You pulled it off really well. How long did it take you to get all of it done? Let alone color it! Bravo!

Gaaawd Damn! >.< but, seem's appropriet. Absolutely love how it turned out man. Great work indeed. I think that, above all else, Cockpits are hard as Shit to do for mech's. All the detial usually throws ya. Ive only really done it onces, and that was several years ago and I STill don't want to try it again XD

somehow i find it fun to do cockpit ranging form very futuristis to more tradisional one, i especially love 3 monitor type cockpit like patlabor, macross, stardust gundam, seed. thats why i took up the APU challege to push myself further more realistic trype of painting, the alphacockpit is very much a historical move that i firts try out photoshop from my favorite watercolor style, remember hager, that is purely water color except the two sportlight, i too also loved your mecha style, it urge to to wanna do better and to improve.

hahaha, yeah. Really, I havn't been drawing mechs in over a year because of artschool. They don't want that type of stuff >.< but as you can see from my front page, I did manage to get some done in there. But not alot.

Ill say that one of my all time favorite cockpits had to be from the Macross movie. Just absolutely loved that one. The feel of it was just tight and right. Still don't know how I would go about doing a cockpit. Where do you start off?

Hahaha. Thanks for the confidence. I really hope to get some inspiration back into me so I can start drawing again. Really, it's been so long. I almost feel like ive retired! O.o

I like that idea on how you construct the cockpit. Relaxed or on edge. Good way to think of it. Ill have to keep that in consideration for any future designs.

ya, macross's cockpit is propably the best out there especially the new macross zero. that is why i admire the creator of macross, shoji kawamori, the same fellow who did some minor mecha design for patlabor, gundam 0083, cyber fomula, armored core(PS2 game), vision of esclflowener, he's the best

start a cockpit, well try to think what kind of situation your pilot is facing, is he charging torward an enemy, is he relaxing or napping, enjoying his lunch, camping like a snipper, awaiting orders, with these u can find a angle to suit the situation, like the cockpit i did the pilot is very much relax cruising in the mech but yet on full alert(his expressions) and also the instruments panels and holograms indicating the pilot is taking no chances. well i quess that's a vey basic stuff if u wanna do a cockpit, i'll be waiting to see your talent blossom in that area.
