Here the suburbs are actually the same thing as projects districts in America (With high buildings with many tiers, so the life in "post-sovirt" suburb is like a life in a projects; hovewer life in villages is VERY boring AND nasty even here in Ukraine)

That's sounds awful. I don't know how in your country but here living in a village is like hell. There is nothing except for.. Nothing left. Most farmers live in cities and only work at their land and then come back to city.

It is just one giant open area with nothing more than some shops. But yours sounds worse than mine.

Yes... Mine is the rusting area with 5-9 shops for over 2500 people sometimes (like in Shirokino, that's not far from my city) And there is actually nothing except rich mansions of city's elite and rusting houses of the ordinary people and their land. Actually it costs lot of money and it's the only reason why not all of them ran out to the city)

That sounds very hard to deal with. It is sad that there is such a stark contrast between the two. It must be tough on those that choose to stay in the villages with the rich basically kicking them out.
