Description Image is showing how weapon augmentation works... Im going to try to create a "create unit tutorial" where the weapon augmentation selection will be a point...

Now *rubs hands together*
I am going to explain, in depth, how to create an infantry unit and what a unit can do, in the game that is my lifelong dream to complete. This is for the United Terran Alliance side:

INFANTRY UNIT CONSTRUCTION
When you have completed the construction of the barracks you can begin the creation of your first unit. Select the barracks and press the "create unit" button, it will most likely be displayed as a silhouette of a man.

When you create your first unit, you have only a few selections available:
-Armor
-Armament
-Augmentation
-Training points
Since your only production structure is the barracks, you will have only limited choice of these four sections. New items can be acquired by construction additional structures. Downloading (or researching) new items. Or discover artifacts on missions.

There are no particular order you need to complete. You can create an infantry unit with nothing at all, one unit with nothing but added training points, only a weapon, only an augmentation or only armor.

ARMOR:
By pressing the Armor tab, a selection of armors available to the infantry unit will become visible. By default there are only two armors available in the beginning.
The Tier 0. Light Armor, and the Tier 0. Medium Armor.
Additional Tier 0. armor will become available as you construct structures that give the technology.

Select the armor you want the infantry unit to have by browsing through the armor menus and click Ok. At this point the armor is in a state of "selected-but-not-used". If you have armor augmentation available you may select them on the sub menu that will appear. Browse through the sub menus of the available augmentations until you find the one you want. By clicking the augmentation, the armor will be given the upgrade selected. If the armor have multiple augmentation slots, more augmentations can be added. When you are done, click the "done" button. The infantry unit is now given the armor with the augmentations. More on how armor augmentations work later on.

ARMAMENT:
Next you can select the weapon. As with the armor, there are by default two weapons available in early game. The Tier 0. Matter Rifle, and the Tier 0. Energy Rifle. Additional armaments will become available as you construct structures that give the technology.

Select the weapon you want the infantry unit to have by browsing through the armament menus and click Ok. At this point the weapon is like the armor in a state of "selected-but-not-used". If you have weapon augmentation available you may select them on the sub menu that will appear. Browse through the sub menus of the available augmentations until you find the one you want. By clicking the augmentation, the augmentation will be equipped on the weapon. If the weapon have multiple augmentation slots, more augmentations can be added. When you are done, click the "done" button. The infantry unit is now given the weapon with the augmentations. More on how weapon augmentations work later on.

AUGMENTATION:
Not to be confused with Armor or Armament augmentation, the augmentation tab is for attributes on the unit itself. By default there are no available augmentations for the infantry unit this early on. But it works on the same way as both the armor and weapon systems. To find an augmentation, simply browse through the augmentation menus untill you find the desired augmentation, then click it to apply it to the infantry unit.

You unit is now completed, by clicking the "Construct unit" button the unit will be saved to the current game template. So when you need to construct additional units, you can just click the icon for the unit you just created instead of going through the process all over again.

TRAINING POINTS:
Every infantry unit starts with a number of training points. Theese points are there to give a sense of balance and realism.
Every piece of armor, armament and augmentation have training point requirements. Each infantry unit start with a default value of 3 training points. Armor, armaments and augmentations each have different values of training points. Once a weapon is selected, the amount of training points the weapon requires is subtracted from the infantry unit points. At Tier 0. there will be no problems fully equipping an infantry unit, so no further purchase of training points will be needed. If in later tier you require more training points, simply click the "add points" button to add one point to the infantry unit (or the "subtract points" if you wish to subtract points).
The training points is the determined factor for infantry unit construction time. The more points a unit have used by equipping armor, armaments and augmentations, the longer it will take to make it.

ARMOR AUGMENTATION
When you have constructed the field armory structure, you will be able to download research data from the UTA headquarters on Earth. With the armory you will be able to upgrade already existing armor, download patterns for new armor, or research armor augmentations and augmentation slots.

The Tier 0. armor does not have any augmentation slots at the beginning. The pattern for the design have to be downloaded from the UTA HQ on Earth. Once downloaded, the pattern will be applied instantly on all armors for the specific upgrade through the use of nano machines. Meaning you do not have to enter an armory to be given the augmentation slot.
Once a slot is available you can put an augmentation in the slot. Augmentations for armor can be either constructed or found/claimed on the battlefield.
We already know how to apply an augmentation on the unit creation. But how to do it in the field?

When clicking a single unit, there will be additional buttons that allows you to see more detailed information about his armor, armament and augmentations, and it is also by pressing those buttons you will be able to drag and drop the augmentation found or claimed.

Aromr augmentations come in different varieties. And each give spesific stats to the unit. Everything from additional armor to increased accuracy can be obtained by the use of armor augmentation.

The armor augmentations do inflict the training point value. But they can do so both ways. There will be augmentations avaliable for armor that give additional training points to a unit.

Some augmentations can be placed in a slot and be changed safely. Some gets ruined if they are replaced, and thus cannot be used again.
Some gets fused into the armor and cannot be changed at all.

ARMAMENT AUGMENTATION
The Armament augmentation works the same way as the armor one when it comes to downloads, research and usability.

I will add more here later... I am quite tired now and have not completed this section yet... So I might add some details as well as possibly subtract some.

Thank you
Unit construction is a bit more advanced now, to the point where you select individual training programs for the unit, like say; Rifle specialization, piloting: ground vehicles etc. Yeah, not often one can ADD elements, but it was done. The more customization the merrier!
