after talking to Marinette and Zoe, Isabelle went to go talk to Vertay. She asked her if she was having a good time, and Vertay simply replied yes. Isabelle then talk to her alone.

"Vertay, this may be awkward to ask but... I know why you act a little weird whenever I'm around. do you... like me, as in... like me like me?" Isabelle asked. Vertay was shocked. "just take a deep breath and tell me, if that's really on your mind just tell me, I'll listen."

"What do you mean like?" Vertay asked.

"I mean do you... love me?" Isabelle asked.

Vertay took a deep breath. "Yes." she said. "I did had a crush on you since you saved my life from Tiger Fist. I found you really cute, and I like the way helped me. and I'm a fish creature. But it's more then just cuteness and finding you attractive that I like about you. I like that your brave, strong, a heart of gold, and never giving up on others, even to save yourself. your selfless as well. I... wanted to be like you, brave, selfless, strong... Your the best hero I've ever met."

Isabelle was surprised. Vertay did like her a lot, because she wanted to have the same traits as her. All Isabelle can do, is give her a hug, Vertay embraced the hug. "Vertay, I'm honored that you like me, and I inspired you, and I know you can be brave, selfless and strong, you just need to find the courage to do so. But ya know I'm not really..."

"I know, your not into girls and certainly not into talking fish creatures like me." Vertay said. "Besides, your friends told me about your love life and..., I figured it's more then that. your too scared to find love again, because you hate yourself for what you are in the outside. you have to learn to love yourself even though you look different you're still the same human being with a pure heart of gold. You have to follow your own advice and be brave."

"well, not that I got that confession out of my system, I'm gonna return home, and become an ambassador to New Atlantis. I'm gonna unite my home with the rest of the world, it may not be easy, but I will be brave to do so." Vertay said as she looks at the sunrise. "if you ever need me again, I'll be around. Take care Izzy."

"So long Vertay." Isabelle said waving goodbye to her fish friend as she swims into the ocean. Isabelle must learn to love and respect herself, she can't stop hating what she has become, otherwise, it will effect those that do care for her, and she won't have a relationship with any boy she wants to ask out.
