That being said...

You haven't missed a step as far as setting a scene goes; if anything, you appear to have gotten better in terms of perspective and spacing. Your use of lighting here is above and beyond anything you've used thus far, and the encroaching darkness tangled with the foreground red is a neat effect, perhaps even spiffy.

Dark Samus looks impossibly smug, which is nice, and the model is a nice overhaul of the purely black Samus you've been using. She looks menacing as hell - and could be facing the audience or some off panel device that is acting as our POV. It works wonderfully.

Samus herself is a little out of focus, but her posture, expression, and body language say it all in terms of her defeat and frustration; she just can't seem to catch a break here, which works. I'm not sure if her legs are bound, which might cause Dark Samus some problems in the very near future - Samus is the kind of captive I think you'd want to keep a very close eye on, but then Dark is kind of arrogant.
