Don't let the title deceive ya, someone already told me it's edit instead of make, though, I like make more. But still...Here's my first tutorial ever! Please be nice. :c

um, every time I add a texture, nothing happens. I drag it in, but the texture doesn't appear the way you said it does.

Check if the texture of the hair's name is the same one in PMD editor. Your computer may have translated the name from japanese to english or other language and did it wrong. If it's different in PMD Editor, name the file however you want and put the same name in PMD.
Also, the texture most be in the same folder as the model you are making.

Oh, maybe the texture isn't in the same folder. Either that or the texture's name was in Japanese and your computer translated it to your language and PMD Editor doesn't recognize it.

Just drop it into the PMD Editor, then a tab will pop up and make it look like this:
select Ad
And deselect the last 2 ones :3

ok so this is my first time making a model and I'm african american so I wan't my selfie to have the same skin tone as mine but every time I get to the face it totally messes it up can you help me? (Lat base) Please and thank you. P.S. It's nice to know I'm not going to be the only person with African american models <3

In the little PMD window, you can see a File(F) button (I think it's named like that, I know it's File), press it and then click save or where the S is, if your pmd editor is in japanese.

One question.
I want to make a base taking the head from a model and the body from other model, but, when I put them together and try it on MMD they separate x_x Can you please help me?

Bad english? Not really. xD
You have to make sure the bones are connected, and when they are, nothing will seperate. You can search for bone tutorials anywhere. Sorry I haven't really made one!

Well, sorry for such a late comment.
To make your own base, you could take parts from other models and make a new base. Of course, you cannot claim it completely as your own.
You can make a 3D model base instead and it will allow you to give full credit to yourself
The downloaded parts should be in the same folder of the model for them to work, if that's what you mean.

Excuse me.. I downloaded your base, Nakao Kio. But the color of her eyes doesn't seem to show at all. Is there something I did wrong?

It's not my base xD
The name of the eye file is in japanese, and your computer doesn't read japanese. Change the name of the eye file and change it in pmd too. That should work.
