Description
A map of the Spindles, which I'll hopefully finish someday. What's blank now will be filled with multiple insets showing islands of interest and such. For a map of the whole island to the NW go here --> [link]

very stunning work, all those small islands make it so much detail the eye nevwer got tiered.
did you start yor worldmup with a first big overview map or just work all the things on small regions and later put them all together to the big world map?
For my world I started with the outlines of a continent on a very big paper later I draw a small planet map overview on a around 20cm(~7")...
...but more I didn't got done for years. Seeing your map make feel me to try get more details on my map. also there so much parts missing on the map were I have wrote descriptions for.

I remember doing maps of imaginary lands - great fun! I'd always end up with the coasts looking like norway...all those fjords...heh.
Anyway this is superb, the black seas are really effective and actually make the map easier to sort out in your mind. I want to go there and explore it! In fact, I also want to start making one myself, thanks for the inspiration!
Excuse my ignorance: is bristol a type of thick cartridge paper?
Thanks.

Thanks! Yeah, I have to resist covering everything in fjords, myself. They're just so much fun to draw.
If "cartridge paper" means something like copier/printer paper, then no -- Bristol is like a light cardstock, usually around the 100lb weight range. It has good durability and can even take watercolour, so long as one doesn't use heavy washes.
