Why you no taste like candy! ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻I have yet to give her a background story or a name... For now I guess I'll just stick with Amaya. :]
Update!
I am developing a background story right now and it is coming along pretty well.
Basically.. She has a little secret about who she really is, but she is linked to some sort of royalty. Even though she's royalty she likes to be treated as any regular pony and is rarely seen using her wings or her cute little horn.
Her name is Candy Love, but who said that was her real name? ;]
Dun dun DUUUUNNNNNN! -dramatic music-
Well I'm still not sure about the name, but I am open to suggestions!

Be careful with Alicorns. Make sure she has a well-grounded back story that makes sense. Also, avoid making her a natural born Alicorn; this isn't Cadence's (horrifying) child.
And as a critic, I advise you to lower the saturation on the white of her coat. No pony is pure white.
Also, I like the fading colors (gradiance is it called? I don't remember.), mostly because that does make her look more like a princess. I don't remember if you listed the special talent in the description, but if you didn't, make sure that it's something that would fit a princess, but not make her a Mary Sue.
Altogether, I really like the design of this OC. Just make sure her back story is fathomable, don't make her overpowered, and make sure the colors are something you'd actually see in the show! 😊

She's adorable, and my first OC was an alicorn (Though I've changed her to a pegasus)
As a critic, I would say she's a bit of a Mary Sue
But all OCs can be improved.

Left this out - the gradient is a little overused, but in this case adds a very cute, romantic feel, because it is a red/white, as opposed to, for example, purple/orange.

If she's an alicorn, why not give her a fancy name (like Mioamore Cadenza) and then give her a "nickname" (like Cadence) that normal ponies would call her. This way she could have her fancy royal name but also have a more normal sounding name too when that's all revealed. Like something featuring "pink" which is "rosa" in Italian (where the other alicorns get their names) and her nickname could be Rosie.

And what's wrong with an alicorn? Before I became a fan with MLP I always loved horses. I drew all sorts of different ones, from police horses, indian horses to pegasus and to even alicorns. My biggest inspiration for drawing horses was when the movie Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron came out. It was such a beautiful movie and me being about 10 or 11 had my creativity go wild with designing pretty ponies. Just because this is a MLP style of an alicorn doesn't mean I have intentions to do what most kids do. I love all sort of ponies, and I will not someone like you bring me down. I will keep making alicorns because I always have way before the show came out.
