"Ala is the most important deity of the Igbo people of southeastern Nigeria. Igbo, previously known as Ibo, is one of Africa's largest ethnic groups. Every village has a shrine to Ala in its center.
Known as the "mother of all things," Ala is the goddess of the Earth, of morality, of fertility, of creativity. She also rules the Underworld and is the guardian of the harvest and the guardian of women and children.
She is in charge of the beginning and ending cycles of life. She allows children to grow in their mothers' wombs and she welcomes the souls of the dead to rest in her own womb.
Her messenger is the python and her symbol is the crescent moon."

Great work! You've done a great job with her expression; you can really feel the maternal and all-knowing aspect of this goddess, which is even further emphasised in your composition with her melding into the night sky.

Very enpowering feeling coming from this drawing. For me this is like hopeful and happy looking Gaia, mother Earth. Black&white causes also beautiful construction of light in the darkness.
